What Is Vinyasa Yoga

Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a powerful and energetic form of yoga.  Students fluidly move from one pose to the next, connecting their breathing to their movements.  It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio, and physical and mental stamina in one class. 

What To Expect

Students should expect movement, not just stretching.  The classes are structured to build heat.  They typically follow a similar pattern; starting with connection and warm up, then Sun Salutations building to a peak pose, inversion play, balance, and wind down.  The movement into each pose is meant to flow almost like a dance.  There will be a fun and upbeat playlist.  Students are encouraged to smile and even laugh! The class is meant to give the student time for them to be exactly where they are but at the same time not take themselves too seriously! 

 

Students should come prepared to break a sweat and bring water.  Students can bring mats and blocks if they have them.  All levels welcome! Mats and blocks are available.  If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
